one week of hell over, project semi finished, at least it looks finished.
There was a lot more that I wanted to do with this but just didn't have the time. I'll be updating this probably by tonight with more. This was a project for my User Interface Design class, final project. It is the intro portion to a game concept that I have, (conceptual design doc coming soon to a link near you). The world has had some sort of natural/man made disaster that happens around 2012 that causes most of the world to be uninhabitable, leaving humanity to be able to live only in the most southern reaches of South America, Africa, and Australia. as well as turning Antarctica into inhabitable location where most of humanity now resides. Since children have not been exposed to nearly as much of our world, this game offers a unique opportunity for them to discover it and explore archeological fields. This game will encompass many different time periods, allowing the teaching of recent history and current events from a possible future looking back upon it through Contemporary archeology. The child will play a young archeologist and the parent the less seen elder archeologist that the child is an apprentice of. The child will set out with the elder archaeologist on a number of missions to gather information about the internet age. Hours: ~72 overall Programs Used: Flash CS3, Photoshop CS3, Maya 2008 Coding language: Action Script 3.0 Special thanks to: inspiration for visuals and design: [link] (I don't know who made this.
